The work progresses

Nancy writes:
Yesterday we made tremendous progress on the library/computer lab, in addition to the room attached where the computer tech/security guard will live. Those walls & ceiling required a coating of paint/sand/shell mixture that was unbelievably messy to apply! With Foreman Cathi in charge of an exceptional team of Cayra, Laura F, Meagan, and Sam, they worked their hearts out.

Another team consisting of Beth, Chelsey, Sarah, and Ryan completed an entire wall of the computer lab. Meanwhile, master welder Mr. B made the room glow. Others hauled lumber and re-bar, welded, drilled, and hung sheetrock.

The group in the classromms was a huge asset to the teachers who were pulled in many directions at once by rambunctious kids.

In the evening we got to partake in the world-famous (or so they say) Chicken Drop - a sample of Belizean culture. Dinner was Mexican/Belizean cuisine.

Debriefing and a Bible study on the condition of our hearts completed the full day.
